Since our residence halls are made up of groups of individuals in living-learning environments, each person possesses certain rights and responsibilities that are held in high regard. Mutual respect and consideration coupled with awareness of and sensitivity to the needs of other individuals must be the standards for group living. This statement is intended to define minimal expectations of rights and responsibilities of all residents to enjoy their freedom without placing constraints upon the rights of other residents. The RIGHT to read, study, or sleep free from undue interference in or around one’s room.
